Texas DWI Laws are tough, especially on persons who hold a Commercial Driver’s License. One DWI conviction will result in the loss of your CDL for at least 1 year, and a second DWI conviction will result in the loss of your CDL for life, but there is a provision to apply for reinstatement after 10 years. You cannot get an occupational driver’s license that reinstates your commercial driving privileges.
